Responsible Travel
At Outer Limits Explore we recognise that the cultures, environments and economies we visit are fragile, requiring sustained support from us to ensure that we have a lasting positive effect. Whilst our visits and contact with communities in developing countries can help the local people by providing income, positive exchanges of cultural ideas and the financial incentive to protect the natural environment, it is vital that we recognise the fragility of the environments and the need to be respectful and courteous to our hosts.
Travel can bring many benefits to the traveller and the countries visited such as learning about different cultures and contributing to the local economy. However sometimes the impact can be negative – local people could be exploited and their environment damaged. This is why we go to great lengths to explore as responsible travellers.
