Kilimanjaro is the World's highest free-standing mountain and requires no technical expertise to ascend, a fact that continues to make it so popular with visitors. This enormous mountain covers 755 sq km and contains three major volcanic centres:- Shira, Mawenzi and Kibo summit with it's vast ice caps, reaching into the clouds at a height of 5895m, only three degrees south of the Equator, Kilimanjaro remains snow-capped throughout the year.
One of the highest of the World's coveted Seven Summits, Kilimanjaro remains an essential mountain to bag for all who enjoy trekking peaks. We aim to make your trek even more memorable by ascending on summit night by the light of the full moon, followed by the magical experience of standing on the roof of Africa as the sun rises over the horizon to bathe the plains below in it's golden glow. A note on our pricing
We know that if you compare our prices to others you will see that we are slightly more expensive; we make no apologies for this and know that the difference in cost is more than justified in the quality of the service we provide. Chris Butler has a 98% success rate on getting people to the top of the mountain, compared to others who only have around 50 - 60%. We put this down to our insistence on a rest day at Karanga Valley just before the summit bid, as far as we're aware no other companies or guides do this. We also provide a highly qualified and experienced English mountaineer who will accompany the group every step of the way; from prior to leaving the UK to landing safely back on UK soil.
Finally of course we keep our groups small, friendly and personal.
We don't compromise on safety and quality for the sake of cost.
