Basic Expedition Leader Award
Outer Limits Explore can provide qualified, trained tutor/assessors for the Basic Expedition Leader Award. All of our trainers are experienced outdoor professionals, highly qualified and experienced at working with young people. In addition they have completed the recognised training in order to gain an insight into award content, assessment and administration procedures.
The Basic Expedition Leader Award is aimed at young people at the start of Year 13. It's a nationally recognised qualification from Sports Leaders UK and qualifies outdoor leaders to run expeditions in lowland areas and organise base and mobile camps, perfect for Duke of Edinburgh Bronze and Silver level.
A level 2 First Aid course is also an enhanced feature of our award programme. Young people can choose from a range of schedules to avoid any clashes with exams and other commitments.
Young people who have already completed their Duke of Edinburgh Award, are members of Scouts, Guides or Cadets will all enjoy taking part in this award.
